French architects Agence Search have completed a water-sports centre beside the Seine with a roof of undulating waves.

A screen of wave-shaped louvers shades the building’s south elevation, creating dappled shadows on the lobby walls behind.

Corridors lead from here into the three swimming pools, which include a lap pool, a play pool and a children’s pool.

Chunky columns between the pools support the curved roof, while a wall of north-facing windows lets swimmers look out towards the river.

A blanket of sedum covers the surface of the roof, echoing the profile of the hills beyond.
